What you need
- One large sheet of paper
- Two different-coloured markers or crayons
- Six small scraps of paper
Set up
Cover the large sheet with widely spaced dots. On the six scraps, draw a straight line, curve, zigzag, loop, wave, and spiral. Fold them and place them in a small pile.
How to play
Each player chooses a starting dot and a marker. Reveal one line card, then both players simultaneously travel from their current dot to any new dot using that kind of line. Reveal another card and continue from where each line ended.
Share the paper and steer around each other’s marks. When the two paths meet, say “Connected!”, choose two new starting dots, and keep drawing. Take turns revealing the next card until the page becomes one large cooperative doodle.
Move the markers slowly enough to finish together. Crossing an old line or missing a dot simply becomes part of the picture.
